Long Island State Veterans Home

Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide comprehensive psycho-social and support services for our residents and their families. The members of our Social Services Department are there for you to help with everyday concerns or adjustment to the new environment.

Individual, group and family counseling sessions are offered.

Discharge Planning: Our Social Services staff and interdisciplinary team members work to coordinate services in the home for those admitted to the LISVH for short term rehabilitation or for those in our adult day healthcare program.

If you have to be in a nursing home, this is the best I’ve seen and heard about. The staff is so caring and are very nice to the residents. They are very good in what they do and take care of the residents.
